Meet the memorial masons

Behind every memorial we create are Connor and Kev—the skilled hands responsible for turning each family’s ideas into a fitting and lasting tribute. Working from the Butterfields memorial workshop in Swinton, they manage every aspect of memorial masonry, including new memorials, additional inscriptions, renovations, lettering restoration and safe installation. Both are fully trained through extensive practical experience and approach every commission with care, precision and respect.

With more than 28 years’ experience in the memorial industry, Kev brings a wealth of practical knowledge to every commission. Experienced across all aspects of memorial masonry, he takes pride in completing each memorial carefully, securely and to a standard that families can feel confident in for years to come.

Connor has worked in the memorial industry for five years and is experienced across all aspects of memorial masonry. He particularly values creating lasting tributes that hold genuine meaning for families and seeing how the finished memorial can bring comfort during a difficult time.

Made with care, from beginning to end

Connor and Kev work closely together throughout the process—from discussing designs and preparing inscriptions in the workshop to restoring and installing memorials throughout South Yorkshire.

Every memorial is different, but their approach remains the same: listen carefully, explain the options clearly and give every detail the attention it deserves. Whether creating a completely new memorial or carefully restoring an existing one, their aim is to produce work that honours the person being remembered and stands the test of time.
